Understanding the Role of CEO of West Bengal

West Bengal welcomes Arnab Chattopadhyay as its new joint CEO 

According to a formal statement on Monday, Arnab Chattopadhyay has been name the next Joint CEO West Bengal

After serving for six years, the Election Commission removed Rahul Nath from his position earlier this month; Chattopadhyay takes over for him. The opposition politicians, notably Suvendu Adhikari, the leader of the opposition, also accused Nath of partiality. 

Currently serving as the Joint Secretary of the School Education Department. Chattopadhyay is a West Bengal Civil Service (WBCS) official from the 2000 batch. 

Dibyendu Das, a former director of the state’s transportation department, has replaced Amit Roy Chaudhury, dismissed by the Election Commission not long ago.
